Abstract

The Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) stage is a strategic moment in shaping children's character, spirituality, and basic abilities. The problem that often arises is the suboptimal design of learning that is in accordance with children's characteristics and Islamic values. This study aims to explore how teachers can design effective, enjoyable, and religious learning. As a solution, teachers are required to understand child development as a whole, design goals that cover all aspects of development, and choose active learning strategies that support concrete learning experiences. This study uses a library research method, namely research conducted by reviewing various sources of literature that are relevant to the topic of the role of teachers in compiling effective learning designs in PIAUD. The findings show that the design designed by teachers must pay attention to the balance of cognitive, emotional, motoric, and spiritual aspects; supported by interesting educational media; and adjusted to Islamic values. Development evaluation is carried out narratively and observationally, to strengthen the effectiveness of learning. In conclusion, teachers play a role as the main architects in creating a meaningful and Islamic learning atmosphere. The success of learning is highly dependent on the ability, innovation, and concern of teachers for children's needs.
